Blooming Lotus Yoga is a residential yoga retreat and teacher-training school set in the jungle of Lodtunduh, about fifteen minutes south of central Ubud, nestled above a sacred river and a traditional Balinese water temple. Away from the busier centre, its villas and open shala look out over river valley and trees — a quiet setting built for immersion rather than drop-in practice.
The school runs ongoing retreats throughout the year, from four-day escapes to seven-day Bliss retreats, all beginning on a set day each week and open to beginner and intermediate practitioners. Days follow a gentle rhythm of morning and late-afternoon yoga and meditation, workshops, and shared vegan meals at the in-house restaurant, Amrita, with optional shuttles into Ubud.
For those drawn deeper, Blooming Lotus is best known for its 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings — intimate, classically rooted courses spanning asana, meditation, pranayama, philosophy, and self-inquiry. Founded by teachers grounded in the traditions of yoga, tantra, and vedanta, the school leans toward the contemplative and spiritual end of practice rather than the purely physical.
